Odisha FC defeated SC East Bengal by 2-1 in the Indian Super League (ISL) 2021-22 at the Tilak Maidan Stadium. The result keeps the Odisha FC in the hunt for the top-four places by elevating them to sixth place.
The miserable run for SC East Bengal continues as they are standing at the tenth place in league table with 10 points from 16 games, same as NorthEast United FC but with a better goal difference.
Jonathas de Jesus (23’) gave the Kalinga Warriors an early lead that lasted until Antonio Perosevic (64’) scored the equaliser in the second-half. Javi Hernandez (75’) regained the lead for OFC with a precise finish to ensure three important points.
SCEB in the second half dominated the game. They kept pressure on Odisha FC defense and got the equaliser. The Red & Gold brigade continued to dominate but conceded the goal against the run of play in the 75’.
Odisha FC will next face Mumbai City FC at the PJN Stadium on Sunday whereas SC East Bengal plays Kerala Blasters FC at the Tilak Maidan Stadium on Monday.

In the next match, Hyderabad FC takes on ATK Mohun Bagan.
