Poland defeated Saudi Arabia 2-0 in Group C Match of 2022 FIFA World Cup at Education City Stadium. With the win Poland moved to the top of group with four points.
Saudi Arabia kept Poland on pressure but was unable to convert any of them to goal. They also got a penalty which came after a VAR check, Krystian Bielik guilty of a light touch on Saleh Al Shehri’s trailing ankle inside the box. But, Salem Al-Dawsari missed that opportunity as Wojciech Szczesny dived to his right to deny Saudi Arabia to open their account.
Piotr Zielinski in 39′ gave Poland the lead while Robert Lewandowski scored the second goal for Poland and his first goal in World Cup finals in 82′.
