RoundGlass Punjab defeated Rajasthan FC 4-0 to clinch the Hero I-League title and has gained a promotion into the Hero Indian Super League on Saturday.
They stand to qualify for promotion to ISL on the basis of the AFC roadmap, subject to fulfilment of all financial criteria as agreed upon by all stakeholders in the Indian Super League (ISL). They achieved this feat with one match to spare.
The I-League trophy will return to Punjab for the first time since 2017-18 when Minerva Punjab won it.
For RoundGlass Punjab, Chencho Gyeltshen, Luka Majcen, Juan Mera and Hmingthanmawia scored the goals.
The Punjab side stayed on top with 49 points in 21 games.
