SAFF Championship: Sunil Chhetri keeps India’s hopes alive

Skipper Sunil Chhetri’s 82′ goal gave India a 1-0 victory over Nepal in the SAFF Championship 2021 at the National Football Stadium in Male, the Maldives on Sunday.

This was India’s first win of the tournament after draws against Bangladesh and Sri Lanka in the first two matches.

The Blue Tigers are now third in the table with five points in three games. India will next face Maldives in their final league match. To qualify for the final, India will have to win the match.
