SC East Bengal appointed Joseph Ronald D’Angelus as Head of Sports Science for Indian Super League 2021-22 season. He will be heading physiotherapy and analysis departments of the Red & Gold Brigade.
He was working with Bhutan Football Federation as head of sports science. In 2012 he had worked with Mohun Bagan AC as fitness coach. He had worked with PJ City FC and Negeri Sembilan FA also working in Myanmar with Hantharwady United FC.
He informed that his appointment with the historic club will help him to grow. “I am happy to be associated with SC East Bengal. It is a club with so much history and working here will help me grow. I believe in pushing athletes out of their comfort zone and taking them to the next level physically. I will also work on different rehabilitation methods to expedite players’ recovery from injuries,” said Joseph, who has a South Asian Games silver medal in 2019.
“I have worked with many experienced head coaches like Vincent Subramaniam, E.Elavarasan, P.N. Sivaji, Rene Desayee, Karim Bencherifa, Jorg Stenibrunner, K.Devan, Mohd Azrai Khor, Myo Hlaing Win and Mario Lemos,” he added.
