SC East Bengal defeated I-League champions Gokulam Kerala FC 2-1 in their third pre-season friendly. Earlier the Red & Gold Brigades defeated Vasco SC & Salgaocar FC by 3-1 & 2-0 respectively.
Today for SC East Bengal, Balwant Singh in 40’ and Wahengbam Angousana in 45+2’ scored the goals. For Gokulam, Rahim pulled one back in 71’.
Sources informed that Antonio Perosevic had a brilliant first half. The Croatian forward found space more often than not on the left inside channel and kept feeding the likes of Balwant and Naorem Mahesh.
Daniel Chima also played today in the second 45 minutes.
