SC East Bengal’s winless run continues with 0-2 loss to NEUFC in ISL 2021-22

NorthEast United FC recorded their second win of the Indian Super League (ISL) 2021-22, beating SC East Bengal 2-0 at the PJN Stadium in Fatorda on Friday.

The result extends SC East Bengal’s winless run to seven games, keeping them rooted to the bottom of the points table.

For NorthEast United FC, VP Suhair scored in 60’ and Patrick Flottmann extended the lead in 68’.

In the first half none of the team could create real chances, but SC East Bengal was comparatively better side. However, the story was totally different in second half. NEUFC played much better and created chances and was rewarded with two goals. SCEB struggled to find the rhythm. Antonio Perosevic, got a red card in the end moments.

Khassa Camara won the Hero of the Match Award.

Next on Saturday Chennaiyin FC will battle Odisha FC followed by FC Goa vs Hyderabad FC.
