The tussle of Shree Cement & Club Officials is yet not solved, on the other hand Tuesday is the last day to apply for AFC club licensing. The SC East Bengal Foundation decided to apply for club licensing. The investment company is continuing the process of keeping football going amidst the pull of club-investors.
Shivaji Samaddar, CEO of SC East Bengal, said, “We will discuss the matter and take a final decision on Tuesday. I am also holding discussions with the federation so that there is no technical problem. If we don’t apply for club licensing, East Bengal football will be uncertain this year. We can’t let that happen.”
The club did not send the names of the two members to be represented on the board. In that case the club licensing application has to be submitted on the basis of autonomous consent. The federation is looking into the matter so that there is no problem.
