Sunil Chhetri’s hat-trick powered Bengaluru FC to a 4-2 win against Kerala Blasters FC in Indian Super League (ISL) 2024-25 at Sree Kanteerava Stadium on Saturday.

Chhetri became the oldest (40 years and 126 days) hat-trick scorer (8’, 73’, 90+8’,) in the ISL – surpassing Bartholomew Ogbeche who did it for Hyderabad FC against FC Goa (38 years and 96 days) in January 2023.

Ryan Williams (38’) scored the other goal for Bengaluru FC. Meanwhile for Kerala Blasters FC Jesus Jimenez (56’) and Freddy Lallawmawma (67’) pulled back two.

Sunil Chhetri was adjudged Key Performer of the Match.

Bengaluru FC regained their top position with this win with 23 points while Kerala Blasters FC remained on 10th place with 11 points.

Next, Kerala Blasters FC will play face Mohun Bagan Super Giant while Bengaluru FC will play against FC Goa on December 14.
