The Best FIFA Football Awards Details: Lewandowski won Best Men’s Player award

The Best FIFA Football Awards 2020 was held on 17 December 2020. The ceremony was held virtually due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. Lewandowski becomes the first player since Luka Modric in 2018 to beat Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo to win the The Best FIFA Men's Player. In 2016 & 2017 Cristiano Ronaldo won while in 2019 Lionel Messi won the award.  On the other hand Lucy Bronze becomes the first-ever defender to collect the FIFA Women’s Player of the year. She won the Champions League with Lyon along with the French league and cup double. Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp won the Best Coach award for the second year in a row. Sarina Wiegman won the award the Best Women Coach award for second time. She guided The Netherlands to the finals of the FIFA Women's World Cup in 2019.
