West Bengal defeated Kerala 5-0 to win Gold Medal in men’s football final in the National Games at the EKA Arena Transstadia here on Tuesday.
West Bengal have won the Gold medal after 11 years. Last in 2011 they won Gold medal. This is the third time West Bengal won Gold, first was in 1994. They had won silver in 1985 and 2002, Bronze in 1999.
For West Bengal, Robi Handsa 16’, Narohari Shrestha 30’, 45+6’, 52’, Amit Chakraborty 85’ scored the goals.
Meanwhile, Services defeated Karnataka 4-0 to win Bronze medal.
