West Bengal defeated Ladakh 5-0 in Group B of 77th National Football Championship for Santosh Trophy 2023-24 at SRI HARGOBIND STADIUM, PHAGWARA.
For West Bengal, Jiten Murmu (43′ & 59′) & Bijay Murmu (79′ & 82′) scored a brace each while Sumay Shome (16′) scored the other goal.
Earlier, West Bengal defeated Odisha 2-0, played 0-0 draw with Delhi and Haryana and lost to Punjab 0-3.
West Bengal thus finished fourth in Group B behind Delhi, Punjab & Odisha with 8 points and failed to progress for final round.
