West Bengal defeated Punjab 5-1 in Swami Vivekananda U20 Men’s NFC in Group E match at the Ramakrishna Mission Ashrama Ground in Narainpur, Chhattisgarh, on Sunday.
For West Bengal, Bipradip Mondal scored a brace in 2′ and 14′, while Rahul Naskar in 73’, Shibam Munda in 85’ through penalty and Sahajid Gazi in 90+6’ scored a goal each.
Earlier, West Bengal played a 1-1 draw with Tamil Nadu.
West Bengal will next face Uttarakhand on April 16.
The top team of the group will progress to knockout stage.
