West Bengal defeated Tamil Nadu 6-2 in Group D match of Jr Boys’ NFC for 2024 BC Roy Trophy Tier 1 at the Ramakrishna Mission Ashrama Ground, in Narainpur, Chhattisgarh.
For West Bengal, Subhodip Sardar (48’, 63’) scored a brace, while Samir Sardar (30’), Sabyasachi Dhar (34’), Anish Das (79’) and Sagun Hembram (84’) scored a goal each.
For Tamil Nadu, S. Santhosh and Anil Kumar scored the goals.
West Bengal will next face Kerala on August 6 and Chhattisgarh on August 8.
