Host West Bengal lost to Manipur 5-2 in semifinals of Sub-Junior Girls’ National Football Championship 2024 on Monday. Manipur will face Jharkhand in final.
This is the 7th time that Manipur qualified for finals. They had earlier won 5 times and finished runners-up once.
Jharkhand had won the title in last two editions. Odisha, Mizoram and Chandigarh had won once each.
West Bengal have won once in 2010-11 and finished runners-up in 2023-24.
Earlier, in Group Stage, West Bengal defeated Delhi 4-0, Assam 6-0 and Chhattisgarh 10-0.
