West Bengal qualified for the semi-finals from Group A of 28th Senior Women’s National Football Championship for Rajmata Jijabai Trophy.

In their last group match against Chandigarh, West Bengal played a 0-0 draw at Kishore Bharati Krirangan, Kolkata.

Tamil Nadu finished the group with 13 points, while Bengal and Railways ended with 10 points each. However, Bengal’s 3-1 win over Railways on Wednesday helped them to secure second place with a better head-to-head record.

Earlier, West Bengal defeated Punjab 7-1, Delhi 2-0, Railways 3-1 and lost to Tamil Nadu 4-0.

West Bengal’s opponent in semi-finals will be confirmed on 11th May. The semifinals are scheduled for May 13.
