After a pathetic season East Bengal FC management had decided to part away with Stephen Constantine. East Bengal FC had three different coaches in the last three years and finished a lowly 9th, 11th and 9th since their move to the ISL in 2020.

The management is all set to appoint a new Head Coach. Sources informed earlier, that East Bengal fans would see their New Head Coach before the traditional “Bar Pujo” on April 15. However, the search is still going on.

Earlier, rumours was around as Josep Gombau will be the Red & Gold Brigade’s New Head Coach for a two year deal. He helped Odisha FC to reach playoffs in 2022-23 season.

Next, we came to know that high-profile Spanish tactician Sergio Lobera will be East Bengal FC’s New Head Coach and the negotiation has reached an “advanced stage”. Lobera had previously coached in India at FC Goa between 2017 and 2020 where he won the League Winner’s Shield and the Super Cup before winning the ISL Shield and Trophy double at Mumbai City FC in his only season there.

However, there is very least possibility of Sergio Lobera’s joining as he is currently contracted with Sichuan Jiuniu in China’s One Division League.

Now another rumour is around that Former Bengaluru FC head coach Carles Cuadrat is on advance talks with East Bengal FC.

The Search for our New Head Coach is Still ON.
