In the year 2004, East Bengal Club was invited at Nepal to participate at San Miguel Cup. East Bengal was clubbed with Nepal Red XI and Farashgunj of Bangladesh in the group.
East Bengal lost their opening match to Nepal Red Xi by 1-0. However in the second match they defeated Farashgunj of Bangladesh by 2-1. In the semifinal East Bengal defeated Nepal Blue XI by 1-0. In the final East Bengal defeated Hannam University of South Korea on Penalty shootout by 4-2.
This was the third International Title for East Bengal.
