India Football Federation Executive Committee will no longer permit foreigners (both men and women) to compete in any category of city, district, or state leagues in India. In the past, the federation prohibited international players from playing in the I-League 2nd Division. The same was confirmed in a statement that AIFF Ex Co. published to its member organisations.
The new rule will be applicable from 01 June 2023
