Arindam Bhattacharya will lead SC East Bengal in ISL 2021-22 which begins in Goa from November 19.
He will be the 9th goalkeeper to lead East Bengal after Mani Talukdar, Dr S. Das Gupta, Abani Bose, Peter Thangaraj, Bhaskar Ganguly, Sumit Mukherjee, Sangram Mukherjee and Abhra Mondal.
Australian centre-back Tomislav Mrcela was named vice-captain, keeping in mind his wealth of experience and leadership qualities.
SC East Bengal will begin their campaign against Jamshedpur FC on November 21 at the Tilak Maidan Stadium at Vasco.
