SC East Bengal played a 1-1 draw with defending champions Mumbai City FC in pre-season Friendly match at Nagoa Football Ground on November 14, Sunday. Cássio Gabriel scored for Mumbai City FC in the first half while Sourav Das equalized for Red & Gold Brigade in the second half.
This was the fourth friendly match that the Red & Gold Brigade played before they start their campaign in Indian Super League 2021-22. Earlier they had defeated Vasce FC 3-1, Salgaocar FC 2-0 and I-League champions Gokulam Kerala FC 2-1.
Considering the circumstances as how SC East Bengal team was formed, it can be said that the team is shaping up for ISL.
