When everybody thought that the game is heading towards extra time, Arindam Bhattacharja’s mistake allowed Bartholomew Ogbeche to win the ball and set up Bipin Singh to score the winner. Thus Mumbai City FC won their Maiden Indian Super League (ISL) title beating ATK Mohun Bagan 2-1 in the final at Fatorda Stadium.
The Islanders showed a lot of character and came from behind to win the trophy. David Williams in 29’ gave the Mariners the lead. Tiri’s own goal in 29’ brought Islanders back into the match. In the second half ATK Mohun Bagan started with more aggressive manner, but Mumbai City FC was much disciplined at the back. ATK Mohun Bagan had a goal disallowed in 61’. However, Mumbai City FC was clinical in the attack and they were the deserving winners for 2020-21 Season.
Mumbai City FC completed the Double by winning both the ISL League Winner’s Shield and Indian Super League Trophy this season.
The DHL Winning Pass of the Match Award was taken by Bartholomew Ogbeche. Bipin Singh takes home the Hero of the Match Award for scoring the match-winning goal.

Emerging Indian Player of the Year: NorthEast United FC midfielder Lalengmawia.
Golden Boot Award (Top goal-scorer): FC Goa striker Igor Angulo for 14 goals.
Golden Glove Award (Best Goalkeeper): ATK Mohun Bagan custodian Arindam Bhattacharja for ten clean sheets.
Winning Pass of the League (Most Assists): FC Goa playmaker Alberto Noguera for eight assists.
