China defeated Vietnam 3-1 in quarterfinals of AFC Women’s Asian Cup 2022 at the D.Y. Patil Stadium on Sunday.
Wang Shuang (25’), Wang Shanshan (52’) and Tang Jiali (53’) scored for China as they set up a semi-final clash with defending champions Japan and also confirmed their place in the FIFA Women’s World Cup Australia/New Zealand 2023.
Vietnam, meanwhile, still have chance qualifying for the FIFA Women’s World Cup via the playoffs.
