Record Roller Cristiano Ronaldo achieved yet another landmark as he won the ‘Player of the Century’ award at the Globe Soccer Awards. The ceremony was held at the iconic Burj Khalifa, the tallest building in the world.
Also in the race was Barcelona’s Lionel Messi, Liverpool’s Mohamed Salah and former player Ronaldinho. Bayern Munich forward Lewandowski won the Player of the Year award, ahead of Ronaldo.
Cristiano Ronaldo after receiving the award said that this honour will motivate him to move forward. He is on his 20th year in professional football. He also said that without a team, great coaches and Clubs it was not possible. Ronaldo won league titles in England, Spain and Italy where he’s currently playing for Juventus. Ronaldo has won the Champions League title five times.
Recently he won Golden Foot award in Monaco. Pep Guardiola was chosen as the coach of the century. Spanish giants Real Madrid won the Club of the Century award.
