Post Covid 19, Indian Women’s Football team started their training at Goa from December. The 45 day camp is going on in a bio-secure environment.
As they resume their training, good news came with the FIFA Ranking released on December 18. As per latest ranking India has moved two place up to 53.
However India’s best ranking was 49 which the Women in Blue achieved in December 2013.
After winning the gold medal at the South Asian Games in 2019, the Indian eves have their eyes set on bigger tournaments, particularly the 2022 AFC Women’s Asian Cup to be hosted by India.
Although less attention is given to Women’s football, but the women’s team is currently ranking 53 out of 159 nations. They are placed on 10th position in continental ranking.
