The inaugural edition of CAB Women’s Club Cricket tournament’s drafting process was done at Eden Gardens on 9th April.
150 cricketers were picked by 10 clubs. East Bengal Club will take part in this tournament.
The 10 clubs to participate are East Bengal Club, Mohun Bagan Athletic Club, Bhawanipore Club, Barisha Sporting Club, Wari Athletic Club, Mohammedan Sporting Club, Aryan Club, Kalighat Club, Rajasthan Club and Town Club.
10 clubs were divided into two groups. The tournament will be played in league format followed by knockout stage.
East Bengal Club is placed in Group A along with Wari Athletic Club, Kalighat Club, Barisha Sporting Club and Bhowanipore Club.
Group B have Town Club, Aryan Club, Mohun Bagan, Mohammedan Sporting Club and Rajasthan Club.
East Bengal Club will be led by Mamata Kisku. The other members of the team are Arpita Bhowmick, Srabani Pal, Priti Bhadra, Madhurima Prasad, Muskan Sinha, Ritu Gayen, Napisa Yasmin, Ankita Barman, Ananya Chowdhury, Sneha Gupta, Tamanna Ghosh, Shreya Karar, Snigdha Bag, Rasmani Das.
