24 teams, including seven debutants, will participate in the 135th edition of the Durand Cup set to be played across five cities starting July 25 to August 23.
Kolkata will once again serve as the tournament’s hub, hosting two groups – A & B, the opening match, two quarterfinals, one semifinal and the final across the Vivekananda Yuba Bharati Krirangan and Kishore Bharati Krirangan.
As per revised draw, 16-time winners East Bengal FC, 17-time champions Mohun Bagan SG, CISF Protectors and South United FC are drawn in Group A.
East Bengal won Durand Cup in 1951, 1952, 1956, 1960, 1967, 1970, 1972, 1978, 1982, 1989, 1990, 1991, 1993, 1995, 2002, 2004.
