East Bengal FC appointed Francisco Javier Pinillos as Goalkeeping Coach for the upcoming season. He was part of Coach Cuadrat’s backend staff during his successful Bengaluru FC stint, including the Hero ISL 2018-19 triumph.
Pinillos as a player played for Racing de Santander’s youth setup. He made his debut with the first team in 1990, appearing in seven games as they returned to Segunda División. He made his professional debut with Racing Santander in 1991 and La Liga debut in 1994.
Later on he played for Burgos Club de Fútbol, S.A.D, Jerez Club de Fútbol, Zamora Club de Fútbol, Sociedad Deportiva Ponferradina, S.A.D and Real Sociedad Gimnástica de Torrelavega
He started his coaching career with Racing Santander in 2013. Later he was appointed manager of the main squad in 2015.
Pinillos became the goalkeeper coach of Bengaluru FC in July 2018. On January 2020, he was named assistant manager.
