East Bengal FC defeated Bengaluru FC 2-1 in Indian Super League (ISL) 2023-24 at Vivekananda Yuba Bharati Krirangan (Salt Lake Stadium) in Kolkata.

The win keep playoff hopes alive for East Bengal FC, while Bengaluru FC it is not out mathematically, but became tough for them.

East Bengal FC now have 24 points from 21 games and is at sixth place while Bengaluru FC dropped to ninth place with 22 points.

Saul Crespo gave East Bengal FC the lead in 19′ through penalty, Sunil Chhetri equalized for Bengaluru FC in 60′ via penalty. Cleiton Silva in 73′ scored the winning goal for Red & Gold Brigade.

East Bengal FC will next face Punjab FC on April 10 while Bengaluru FC will face Mohun Bagan SG on April 11.
