East Bengal FC played two friendly match against Mohammedan Sporting Club and Chennaiyin FC which was a part of Hero Super Cup preparation.
In the first Friendly Match, East Bengal FC defeated Mohammedan Sporting Club 4-3 at the VYBK training ground. East Bengal FC was trailing 2-3 in the half time break, but made a brilliant comeback to win the match 4-3. For the Red & Gold Brigade, Jake, Lalchungnunga, Himanshu and Cleiton scored the goals.
In the second Friendly Match East Bengal FC lost to Chennaiyin FC by 1-0.
