East Bengal FC defeated NITA Football Academy 2-0 in Indian Women’s League (IWL) 2025-26 at East Bengal Ground on Tuesday. Before the match started, the Moshal Girls were crowned the Indian Women’s League champions for the second season running after a 1-1 draw between Sethu FC and SESA Football Academy.

For Moshal Girls, Soumya Guguloth scored a brace in 25′ and in 65′. She was also adjudged Player of the match.

After Gokulam Kerala, East Bengal became the second team to defend IWL title. This is only the fourth season for Moshal Girls in IWL.

East Bengal will now represent India in the AFC Women’s Champions League football next season.

East Bengal is leading the league table with 33 points from 12 matches.

Earlier, East Bengal FC defeated Sethu FC 1-0, Garhwal United FC 2-1, SESA Football Academy 9-0, NITA Football Academy 5-0, Kickstart FC 5-0, Gokulam Kerala FC 3-0, Sribhumi FC 3-0 in First Leg and in Second leg defeated Sethu FC 1-0, Gokulam Kerala FC 2-1, SESA Football Academy 6-0, lost to Kickstart FC 2-1.

The Moshal Girls will next face Garhwal United FC on May 15.
