East Bengal FC Women made a commanding start to their AFC Women’s Champions League 2026-27 Preliminary Stage campaign, cruising to a 4-0 victory over Bangladesh’s Rajshahi Stars FC at the Likas Stadium in Kota Kinabalu, Malaysia, on Monday, August 17.
The Moshal Girls stamped their authority on the contest from the very beginning. Olivia Anokye opened the scoring from the penalty spot in the 9’ before Astam Oraon doubled East Bengal’s advantage in the 26’.
Olivia struck again in the 38’ to put the Indian side firmly in control heading into the break.
East Bengal continued to dictate proceedings after the interval, patiently controlling the game and waiting for opportunities. Their persistence paid off in the 71’ when Soumya Guguloth found the net after being played through by Sulanjana, completing a convincing 4-0 triumph.
With a disciplined display and clinical finishing, East Bengal FC have sent out a strong early statement on the continental stage.
