East Bengal FC Reserve Team played a 1-1 draw with Mohun Bagan SG in Calcutta Football League Premier Division (CFL) 26-27 match on September 07, 2026 at Barasat Stadium. East Bengal FC have already qualified for the Super Six of CFL Premier Division.
Manvir Singh gave Mohun Bagan SG the lead in 38′ while substitute Mohammad Bilal equalized for Red & Gold Reserve team in 64′.
The East Bengal Reserve Team showed tremendous character and fighting spirit, producing a fantastic performance against Mohun Bagan SG, who had a few first-team regulars in their squad.
Despite facing a stronger and more experienced opposition, the young East Bengal side displayed courage, determination and attacking intent throughout the game. Their performance was a clear reflection of the talent and potential within the Reserve Team.
The result extends East Bengal Reserve Team’s unbeaten run in the CFL, following wins over George Telegraph SC (3–0), Bidhannagar MSA (5–1), Railway FC (1–0), Mamoni Pathachakra (5–1), Kalighat MS (1-0), LL Kidderpore (SC 2-0), Calcutta Customs Club (2-0), United Kolkata SC (3-0) along with a 3–3 draw against BSS Sporting Club and 1–1 draw against SP Bhawanipore FC.
