In a thrilling encounter ATK Mohun Bagan edge past Kerala Blasters FC by 3-2 in the 78th match of Indian Super League (ISL) 2020-21 at Fatorda Stadium.
The first half belonged to Kerala, as they dominated with ball possession and also created multiple chances. They kept on attacking on ATK Mohun Bagan defence and scored through Gary Hooper in the 14’. They started the second half with same passion and doubled their lead in 51’ through Costa Nhamoinesu. However, Marcelinho who joined ATK on loan from Odisha changed the pace of the game as he scored back one in 59’. Later a brace from Roy Krishna in 65’ and 87’ gave ATK Mohun Bagan three important points.
The victory helped ATK Mohun Bagan to move up to 27 points from 14 matches and close the gap with table toppers Mumbai City FC.
DHL Winning Pass of the Match Award was bagged by Manvir Singh. The Hero of the Match Award won by Roy Krishna.
In the next match Odisha FC will play against Jamshedpur FC.
SC East Bengal will face Bengaluru FC on 2nd February at TilakMaidan stadium, while ATK Mohun Bagan will play against Odisha FC on 6th February at Fotorda Stadium.
