ATK Mohun Bagan defeated Odisha FC by 4-1 in the 84th match of Indian Super League (ISL) 2020-21 at GMC Stadium, Bambolim.
A brace each from Manvir Singh & Roy Krishna helped ATK to close gap with table toppers Mumbai City FC. ATK Mohun Bagan dominated the match and took the lead in the 11’ through Manvir Singh. They kept on attacking and pushed Odisha FC in back foot. Despite getting limited opportunities to get into AK Mohun Bagan’s box, Cole Alexander with a fantastic strike from distance equalized for Kalinga Warriors just before the halftime. In the 54’ Manvir Singh put Mariners in front again. Odisha FC tried to put up a fight, but lost in the match after Manvir’s second goal. Later Roy Krishna scored a quick brace in 83’ through penalty & in 86’ to give the Mariners a comfortable victory.
Roy Krishna bagged the DHL Winning Pass of the Match Award. Manvir Singh won the Hero of the Match Award.
Tomorrow is Sunday which means two matches; Jamshedpur FC will face SC East Bengal while later in the evening Hyderabad FC will clash with NorthEast United FC.
