ATK Mohun Bagan defeated Bengaluru FC by 2-0 in the 88th match of Indian Super League (ISL) 2020-21 at Fatorda Stadium.
The win put ATK Mohun Bagan to 33 points from 16 matches to cut Mumbai City FC’s lead to one point and set-up an exciting race for the AFC Champions League spot. For Mariners Roy Krishna in 37’ through Penalty and Marcelihno in 44’ scored the goals. ATK Mohun Bagan were solid, compact with conserving energy throughout the match. Bengaluru FC on the other hand tried but could not get through the determined Mariners defense.
DHL Winning Pass of the Match Award was awarded to Roy Krishna. While Marcelo Pereira bagged the Hero of the Match Award.
In the next match Chennaiyin FC will take on Jamshedpur FC.
Meanwhile SC East Bengal will face Hyderabad Fc on 12th February at Tilak Maidan Stadium.
