Chennaiyin FC & FC Goa played a 2-2 draw in the 92nd match of Indian Super League (ISL) 2020-21 at GMC Stadium, Bambolim.
It was entertainment at its best. Both the teams dominated equally throughout the match and it was end to end action with FC Goa twice came from behind to take one point from the match. It was Marina Machans who took the lead in the 13’ through Jakub Sylvestr. However within six minutes Igor Angulo scored from the spot to bring The Guars back into the match. In the second half, Lallianzuala Chhangte gave Chennaiyin FC the lead in 60’, a mistake by FC Goa defense gifted the goal. However, super sub, Ishan Pandita equalized for FC Goa in the stoppage time.
The draw took FC Goa to third place in league table with 24 points while Chennaiyin FC remained at eighth place with 18 points.
DHL Winning Pass of the Match Award was bagged by Alberto Noguera. While Ishan Pandita won the Hero of the Match Award.
Tomorrow NorthEast United FC will take on Odisha FC while ATK Mohun Bagan will face Jamshedpur FC.
On 19th February Kolkata Giants SC East Bengal will lock horn with ATK Mohun Bagan. The second Kolkata derby of the season will be played at Fatorda Stadium. .
