NorthEast United FC registered a convincing 3-1 win against Odisha FC in the 93rd Match of Indian Super League (ISL) 2020-21 at Tilak Maidan Stadium.
Goals from Luis Machado (9′, 24′) and Deshorn Brown (19′) took NorthEast United FC to third place in league table and two points clear of both Hyderabad FC and FC Goa. Bradden Inman (45′) scored a consolation for Odisha. The Highlanders had control in the match throughout and after taking two goals lead, they were happy to stay back and do the defending. This was the sixth win for them in this season.
Federico Gallego won both DHL Winning Pass of the Match Award and Hero of the Match Award.
In the next match ATK Mohun Bagan will lock horn with Jamshedpur FC.
Meanwhile SC East Bengal will face ATK Mohun Bagan on 19th February. The Second Kolkata Derby of the season will be played at Fatorda Stadium.
