In an exciting game of football, of Chennaiyin FC vs Mumbai City FC , Chennaiyin FC holds Mumbai to 1-1 draw in Indian Super League (ISL) 2020-21 match at GMC Stadium Bambolim.

It was an interesting first half as chances were created by both the teams. However, Bartholomew Ogbeche gave The Islanders lead in 21’ with a powerful header within the six yard of the box.

With a goal down, Chennaiyin started the second half strongly. An error within the field by Ahmed Jahouh, as he brought down Sylvestr in the box gave the Marina Machans opportunity to come back into the match. Esmael Goncalves made no mistake from the spot in 75’.

Mumbai City FC strengthened their attack in the final 15 minutes, but Chennaiyin FC’s  managed to hold the Islanders attackers at bay.

With this draw Mumbai City FC extended its unbeaten record to 12 matches matching FC Goa’s record and went six points clear at the top of the standings with 30 points from 13 games. On the other hand Chennaiyin FC moved to 16 points and stayed in connection for a Top 4 finish.
