Indian football fans are set for a historic occasion as Brazil’s senior men’s national football team will travel to Kolkata to face India in an international friendly on October 3, 2026.
The All India Football Federation (AIFF) has officially announced the blockbuster fixture, which will see the five-time FIFA World Cup champions take on the Blue Tigers at the iconic Vivekananda Yuba Bharati Krirangan (Salt Lake Stadium).
The match is expected to be one of the most significant fixtures in the history of Indian football, with India set to face the highest-ranked opponent they have ever played since the FIFA World Ranking was introduced in 1992. Brazil are currently ranked fifth in the world.
