India are out of AFC Asian Cup 2027 qualification race after losing to Singapore 1-2 at the Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in Goa.

Despite having an early lead through Lallianzuala Chhangte in 14′, the Blue Tigers failed to keep the momentum. Song Uiyoung’s brace in 44′ & 58′ gave Singapore an important victory, as they are in race with Hong Kong to qualify for the AFC Asian Cup 2027.

India is currently at bottom of the table with two points and their hope of qualifying for the continental championship for third consecutive time comes to an end.
