India lost to Chinese Taipei 3-1 and bow out of AFC Women’s Asian Cup Australia 2026 in their last Group C match at the Western Sydney Stadium in Sydney on Tuesday.

Su Yu-hsuan (12’) gave Chinese Taipei the lead while, Manisha Kalyan (39’) drew India level. However, Hsu Yi-yun (45+8’) and Chen Yu-ting (77’) ensured Chinese Taipei’s victory.

To progress to quarterfinal, India required a 2-1 victory. Earlier, India lost to Vietnam 2-1 and Japan 11-0.
