India played a 1-1 draw with Bangladesh in SAFF U20 Men’s Championship 2026 to finish on top of Group B at the National Stadium in Malé on Saturday.
Vishal Yadav in 17′ gave Blue Colts the lead while Md Abdul Riyad Fahim in 45+10′ equalized for Bangladesh.
Earlier, India defeated Pakistan 3-0. India will face Bhutan in the semi-final on Wednesday.
The tournament had been played in U18, U19 & U20 format in the past. U18 in 2017, U19 in 2015, 2023, 2025 and U20 in 2022, 2024 and will be played in 2026.
This will be the 8th edition of the tournament. Blue Colts have won four times – 2019, 2022, 2023 & 2025. Finished Runners Up in 2015 while finished semi-finalists in 2017 and 2024.
Nepal had won twice in 2015 & 2017 while Bangladesh won in 2024.
