India played a 1-1 draw with World Cup side Panama in FIFA Friendly at the Sree Kanteerava Stadium in Bengaluru on Friday.
Ryan Williams gave India the lead in the 41′ while substitute Omar Valencia equalised for Panama in the 68′.
India, ranked 138th in the world played toe-to-toe with Panama side placed 44th in the FIFA rankings.
Panama enjoyed more of the ball early on but the Blue Tigers remained compact defensively and looked dangerous whenever they broke forward.
The Blue Tigers next face five-time world champions Brazil in Kolkata on October 3 and Uruguay at the same venue three days later.
