Kickstart FC stunned East Bengal FC 2-1 in Indian Women’s League (IWL) 2025-26 at East Bengal Ground on Wednesday. This was the first defeat for Moshal Girls in this season.
Fazila Ikwaput gave the lead in 7′, while Emem Peace Essien equalized in 16’ and Th Babysana Devi in 58’ gave the lead to Kickstart FC
The match was then halted for around half an hour due to severe rain and thunderstorms. Once play resumed in the tricky conditions, both sides battled fiercely for midfield supremacy.
East Bengal is leading the league table with 27 points from 10 matches.
Earlier, East Bengal FC defeated Sethu FC 1-0, Garhwal United FC 2-1, SESA Football Academy 9-0, NITA Football Academy 5-0, Kickstart FC 5-0, Gokulam Kerala FC 3-0, Sribhumi FC 3-0 in First Leg and in Second leg defeated Sethu FC 1-0, Gokulam Kerala FC 2-1.
The Moshal Girls will next face SESA Football Academy on May 9.
