Mohun Bagan SG defeated Punjab FC 1-0 in Indian Super League (ISL) 2023-24 at Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in New Delhi.
The win kept Mohun Bagan SG’s hopes alive for clinching the League Winners Shield.
Dimitrios Petratos in 42’ scored the goal and was also adjudged Key Performer of the Match.
Meanwhile, the loss was a huge blow for Punjab FC and they had effectively crashed out of the race to qualify for the playoffs.
Punjab FC will next face East Bengal FC on April 10, whereas Mohun Bagan SG will face Bengaluru FC on April 11.
