One of India’s most iconic sporting institutions, East Bengal Club, is set to celebrate its 107th Foundation Day on August 1, 2026, continuing its long-standing tradition of commemorating the club’s rich history, legacy and contribution to Indian sport.
The Foundation Day celebrations will begin at 11:30 AM at the East Bengal Club Tent, where floral tributes will be offered and ceremonial lamps will be lit in front of the portraits of the club’s founders. The programme will also feature the hoisting of the East Bengal Club flag.
Later in the day, a special felicitation ceremony will be held at Nazrul Mancha from 5:00 PM, where distinguished personalities from the fields of sports and society will be honoured for their contributions and achievements.
The ceremony will have Hon’ble Minister for Sports, Dr. Indranil Khan, as the Chief Guest.
As part of the 107th Foundation Day celebrations, East Bengal Club will confer several prestigious awards upon personalities associated with football, cricket, journalism, refereeing, sports administration, entertainment and society.
