East Bengal FC defeated Mohammedan SC 2-0 in Reliance Foundation Development League (RFDL) 2024 for Season 3 regional qualification at Bibhutibhushan Stadium, Barrackpore on March 21, Thursday. The Moshal Boys finsihed 3rd in Phase 1 and qualified for Phase 2 of Zonal Qualifiers, where top four teams will play against each other again in between March 24-29.
Shyamal Besra in 53′ scored for Red & Gold Brigade and an OG was scored by Joseph in 52′
Earlier, the Moshal Boys defeated Odisha FC 2-1, Kalighat MS 2-0, played a goalless draw with Adamas United SA, 3-3 draw with Jamshedpur FC and lost to United SC by 1-0 and Mohun Bagan SG 5-1.
