The India U17 men’s national team is set for an important international test in Myanmar as Head Coach Mehrajuddin Wadoo names a 23-member squad for two closed-door friendly matches against the hosts.
The Blue Colts will travel to Myanmar on October 2, 2026, with the two friendlies scheduled for October 4 and 7 at the StarCity Sports Club in Thanlyin.
The matches will provide India with valuable international exposure as the team continues its preparations for the AFC U17 Asian Cup Uzbekistan 2027 Qualifiers. Wadoo’s squad has been shaping up during a preparatory camp in Margao, Goa, which began in September.
India have been placed in Group E of the AFC U17 Asian Cup qualifiers alongside Malaysia, Palestine, Singapore and Guam. The qualifying tournament will be played in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, from November 11 to 20.
The Myanmar fixtures will therefore serve as an important opportunity for the young Indian side to assess its combinations, build match rhythm and fine-tune preparations before the competitive qualifiers.
