The road to the AFC U17 Women’s Asian Cup China 2027 begins in Malaysia, where the India U17 women’s national team will compete for a place among Asia’s top youth sides.
Head coach Joakim Alexandersson has named a 23-player squad for the qualifying campaign, scheduled to take place from October 5 to 11, 2026.
The Young Tigresses will arrive in Kuala Lumpur on October 2, ahead of their opening Group E encounter against Iraq on October 5. India will then meet Syria on October 8, before concluding their group campaign against hosts Malaysia on October 11.
All three matches will be played at the MP Selayang Stadium in Selayang, Malaysia.
The squad carries a blend of continuity and fresh energy, with 11 players from the previous edition’s squad returning for another shot at continental qualification. India will be looking to build on that experience and achieve something they have never done before — qualify for the AFC U17 Women’s Asian Cup in consecutive editions.
However, the qualification route leaves little room for error. Only the Group E winners will advance to the final tournament in China, making every match crucial in India’s campaign.
With the countdown underway, the Young Tigresses now have one clear objective: finish on top of Group E and book their ticket to China 2027.
